The GOP is ok with a Republican president dropping bombs on Syria

The Republicans are ok with dropping bombs on Syria now that they have a Republican president.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) did a complete 180 when President Barack Obama decided to ask Congress for permission to send in military forces to take out Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Rubio, who decided not to show up for a vote on limited military strikes in Syria, said that President Obama didn’t act fast enough while Inhofe said the country was too broke to be fighting a war in Syria.

These two, along with several others, were adamantly against then Democratic President Obama dropping dust on top of Syria; whereas now, they are ok with the republican president dropping 59 Tomahawks on the Syrians.

Rubio was so moved by the airstrikes that he caught the Holy Ghost and tweeted out a bible verse, Proverbs 11:21, praising Republican President Donald Trump: “Besure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished.”

Inhofe was no different in his double-talk. He believes now that the country has a republican president then we have the money to bomb the hell out of Syria.

Inhofe tweeted, “The days where our enemies don’t fear us and our allies don’t trust us are over.”

Yep, that’s what Inhofe tweeted after saying that we were too broke to drop dust on top of Syria.

Unfortunately, that which then President Obama went through is the same thing another democratic president, Bill Clinton, had to deal with.

During a conversation with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, former President Bill Clinton told the news host that the Republicans saw the former al Qaeda leader as a waste of time.

CNN quoted Clinton as saying to Wallace, “I got closer to killing him (Osama bin Laden) than anybody has gotten since. And if I were still president, we’d have more than 20,000 troops there trying to kill him…They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try. They did not try. I tried.”

Like former Democratic President Bill Clinton, President Barack Obama’s hands were tied. And he was forced to sit and watch Syrian President Bashar al-Assad add onto the world’s already mounting problems while the Republican congress played political football with the stability of our country and the international community.
